It’s the holiday season once again. My how the year has flown by. If you still need a stocking stuff, don’t hesitate to get Serena, a vampire’s tale now available at Amazon on DVD and VOD.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

I’m really stoked for my artist friend Alan Lupiani. He’s attending the Art Basel fair in Miami beach this week. He’s the man about town, conducting interviews and attending events and parties. Good luck Al. Bring back some sunshine and sun tan.
Well folks we screened my latest film project Meg Bannion p.i. at the General Store in DUMBO last night. It was well attended and the short films we showed before hand were well recieved. These included The Blue Box by Scott Gabriel, shorts by kelley O’Brien and the webseries Bloodlight by Nikki Rothenberg. If you didn’t catch the trailer of meg bannion p.i. here it is.
Peace,
JAY
Well I’ve been in editing mode for a week plus so my web journeys have been a bit limited. When done, (hopefully by this weekend) I look forward to curling up with The Big Laugh by John O’hara a literary giant. It’s an insiders take on a rising star actor from 1920′s New York City. So far it’s been surprisingly modern and a good read. Then i have on the back burner a contemporary novel Refrain by Tom McCarthy an artist, novelist and screen writer. My good college buddy Bob has some collectable books by Tomi Ungerer. i’d not heard of him until Bob and i think they are quite good. After reviewing Little boy(ihave to admit I didn’t read it but looked through the pics) chiho aoshima art work stood out as very strong and complex enough to want to see more. Well enough about my sponge brain. Enjoy this halloween weekend. j
Well I had a relaxing and productive weekend. I did start editing meg Bannion p.i. I wanted to add a link to to the youtube credits but it didn’t work so you’ll have to do a search on youtube yourself in order to see it.
This week I found a neat way for artists to get grant funding and set aside monies for artists of future generations to receive assistance so they too may share their gifts.
Artists helping artists. Don’t you love it?
I’m looking forward to reading Takashi Murakami’s novel Little Boy.
and here is a review i found in new york magazine.
but as always, you should read for yourself and come to your own conclusions. have a great week. Jay
I hope to start doing more research this week on the controversial conceptual artist Hans Haacke
as it relates to my new script.
And yes I plan to start editing Meg Bannion TODAY! Enjoy your weekend.
I’m always on the look out for creative types. i found this graphic novel Ooku pretty provocative.
And Dupe by jeff Gibson was very creative art wordplay

Now that this website is up and running i hope to have more free time to spend on Meg Bannion P.I. treatment/outline for Episodes 2,3 and maybe even roll up the sleeves and start editing. Enjoy the weekend.

just testing the link www.artcal.com to see it works.
Well, peeps this is my first posting. i’d like to inaugurate it by saying hello. i plan to share on a weekly basis what i’ve been up to lately and what i’ve found fun, interesting on my web travels. So here it goes. I’ve been juggling 3 tasks as of late. 1- researching my next script. working title ‘Nori was here’ which is going to be about the whackier side of the art world. http://art.calarts.edu/ This college is known for its cutting edge conceptual art program which Americans and German Art galleries seem to relish. http://oneartworld.com/The+Wrong+Gallery.html
the wrong gallery is one of these and i look forward to visiting it soon. 2- I’ve been tightening up the meg Bannion P.I. TV pilot presentation package. procrastinating on the editing but once i start , it will hopefully go smoothly. 3- working with Theresa newman on this new look website. so what do you think? please send a comment to let me know what you’d like to see. until next time happy surfing.
